Bigger, Better Beauty Company in Russian Hill

Beauty Company's new storefront in Russian Hill.

Beauty buffs will be happy to learn that the former pint-size Beauty Company in Russian Hill has relocated to a bigger, brighter space less than a block away on Polk Street. The new boutique will still carry everything a beauty-obsessed heart could desire, from staple brands such as Kerastase, Wella, and Pureology to more exotic products by La Lavande, Propoline, Roger & Gallet and Apivita, among a ton of others.

In the coming weeks, owner Sherri Zietsche will also add manis, pedis and waxing, along with additional hair services already offered at its sister salon “Salon” down the street.

I can’t seem to get enough of the shop’s delicious-smelling, hand-poured travel candles by Atlanta-based Paddywax; Just one candle – at $5 a tin – can last me about a week. I stock up on the wild blackberry and raw honey scents every time I leave for a trip to ensure that my hotel room will feel relaxing and smell really incredible.

I leave for my next adventure abroad to the Philippines tonight, so stay tuned for upcoming dispatches here and on the San Francisco Chronicle’s style blog Unzipped from Manila!
